At the end of February 2007, we moved our entire
household from Augrabies in the Northern Cape to Langebaan in the
Western Cape. Gerhard bought a vacation home here in 2004, and
we're now using it as our main house until we can afford to buy a small
holding or a farm. Sadly, due to high land prices in this area,
we'll be living in the vacation home for awhile. But, it is 300m
from a beautiful beach, so that really isn't too bad!
☺ Since the move, we did quite a bit during the rest of 2007: we acquainted ourselves with the West Coast National Park, visited Namaqualand and the Cederberg Mountains on a quick motorbike trip, spent five days "alone" on Malgas Island, met some Weg Forum folks for a braai near George and did a short follow-on motorbike trip through the Outeniqua Mountains with a few of them, and spent a relaxing Christmas with Gerhard's sister and her family in Hermanus.
